The residential program has a 25-bed capacity on two floors: one for women, and the other for men. The services include 24-hour staffing, lounge facilities, and private rooms. |

Women’s Treatment Programs
The women’s treatment programs are holistic in nature as all aspects of well being are addressed i.e. physical health, nutrition & body image, spirituality, emotional and psychological health and safety |

Specialized Services for Older Adults
A range of specialized services are provided to older adults (55+) which includes, assessment and referral, individual and family counselling, outreach services, Brief Intensive residential treatment, withdrawal management, problem gambling counselling and a continuing care support group. |

Spirituality Program
Individuals are invited and encouraged to explore their own spiritual beliefs with the support and assistance of the Spiritual Advisor. An integral focus of programming includes the relationship between addiction and spirituality and how a person’s beliefs have been impacted through the use of substances. |

Student Placement

The Sister Margaret Smith Centre offers some placement opportunities to post-secondary students enrolled in college or university programs. These students are typically studying in Diploma and Degree programs in Addictions, Social Service Worker, Social Work, or Nursing, and require a placement as part of their studies. Specific placements will depend on the student’s qualifications. It is advised that the Student Placement Committee be contacted for further information. Click here
